Infertility Awareness Association of Canada

Family Matters Challenge 2014

More than  40 participants were up bright and early on the morning of September 12th  to take part in the 2014 Family Matters Challenge.  A pause from the rain was welcome, and as the sun began to shine, participants from all over Canada walked along the cobbled stone streets leading to the entrance of the historic parc of The Plains of Abraham in Old Québec.   On this very spot, 255 years ago, a historical battle was fought – the battle that ended a 7-year war!

Our walk was in support of a long and painful battle against infertility, against the stigma of living with infertility, and for better resources and healthcare for infertility patients across Canada.

IAAC thanks all those who participated in the Challenge and raised donation money.  We were joined by staff members from fertility clinics, our corporate sponsors and patients. Thanks to the generosity of our participants and their sponsors, we can continue to provide resources such as our toll-free bilingual help line, our quarterly online magazine Creating Families,  our support groups and more.
