IAAC Response to Bill 20 Amendments

Amendments to Bill 20 miss the point entirely
Montreal, Canada – Tuesday May 26, 2015 – Carolynn Dubé, Executive Director of the Infertility Awareness Association of Canada (IAAC), responded to the proposed amendments to Bill 20 for assisted procreation, ‘At first glance it seems that the government will be applauded for making amendments to Bill 20. Let me be clear, Bill 20 and these amendments still severely restrict access for the average middle class Quebecer who needs medical treatment to start their family. May 19-26th, 2013

This year, during Canadian Infertility Awareness Week, we propose an overlying theme that lends focus on Education and breaking myths about Fertility and Infertility.  At IAAC we are concerned that the general public might not be fully aware of what impacts one's fertility. Of particular concern, it is our wish that those of child-bearing years and younger be well informed in order to make lifestyle choices NOW that will affect their fertility for LATER.  With this in mind, we have encouraged our members, partners, patients, volunteers and special guests to contribute in whatever way they can to help us reach this goal

We offer you both live and online events so that no matter where you are located there is something for you - whether it be our CIAW Challenge, Love Letter Campaign, webinars or listening to videos that we'll be promoting on Facebook and website - we hope you will find a way to participate.  And please, share your experience with us.  We'd love to hear from you, be it by email, Facebook or otherwise - and yes, please DO send in photos!!!

A brief word to say THANK YOU in advance to all of our volunteers who have stepped up to give us a hand.  Most of these events would not be possible without you!  Kudos to you all!
